Gallbladder and Heartburn
Heartburn can be a big symptom of problems within the gallbladder. Most people do not associate the symptoms of indigestion and heartburn with a failing organ. However, it is one of the most significant signs that the organ is functioning at less than maximum capacity. The gallbladder stores bile, and it secrets it into the digestive tract when food is consumed and needing digested. This can cause pain and bloating which is often thought to be heartburn and indigestion.
People may also feel a type of bloating and discomfort during the indigestion. Stomach areas can be slightly extended and burping will often happen to help relieve the built up pressure. Cramping can accompany this uncomfortable sensation. There are several different methods that can help relieve this uncomfortable sensation. A lot of people find pain medications, and antacids help give temporary relief from the symptoms of a failing gallbladder.
Ultimately the removal of the gallbladder will be the best method to help these symptoms. Unfortunately, sometimes doctors will not find that the removal is the best option so managing the symptoms through diet will be the best course of action. Just a few simple changes in your diet will give you adequate symptom and pain relief. Gallbladder problems affect more people than previously thought, but most go unnoticed due to people brushing off their symptoms due to referred pain.
